By Bryan Stewart
We just received this kettle in the mail and have boiled water in it once, so we cannot yet speak to its longevity. Our main problem with this kettle is the country of origin. This is very important to us, and may not be to others, so feel free to skip ahead. We are doing our best to avoid products manufactured in China, for political and safety reasons both, and after much research, we narrowed it down to this kettle as our only possibility. We contacted the BergHOFF company to learn where their products are manufactured and where their stainless steel comes from, and they never responded. So we went with comments made by the other reviewers here who said it's made in Belgium. We're disappointed to report that the kettle is NOT marked Belgium, and the box only says that it is DESIGNED in Belgium, which we had already ascertained from the company's website. The country of manufacture remains a mystery.Other points of possible interest: The metal is heavy, not flimsy. The whistle is very loud, easily heard from another room in one's home. The handle stays cool. After boiling, the whistle covering the spout can be removed with some caution. The lid remained snug and secure, and the spout design worked very well for pouring.

By Patsy L. Roe
We paid a little more money and purchased this tea kettle from Berghoff because it sounded like a wise and reliable choice. We've had it about 4 months, used it, enjoyed it -- that is until the handle broke off. Very thankful that there was no boiling water in it at the time. Very dangerous possibility that should never have been a consideration! Terribly disappointed!!

By Garvin Malow
After buying and returning 2 Revere 3 1/2 Quart Tea Kettles that were both cheap "Made in China" immitations of the great one we had for 20 years (both of which leaked around the base), we bought this one.Outstanding! High quailty stainless steel - just what we wanted.
