Its ok.

I just purchased 2 of these chafing units. Haven't used them as yet.The overall quality is, well, It could be better. As for the actual size of the food holding pan. Its not bad. Actually it only holds 5 quarts max, and states this right on the box. So, this ad stating the unit holds 6.5 quarts is wrong, or a typo.Anyway, I purchased my 2 units from BB&B, on sale for $39.99 ea. Plus I had two 20% off BB&B coupons. So my units were $34.00 and change each. For $34.00 its not a bad buy. But no way would I pay $60.00 for one of these, due to the overall quality of the very thin s/s metal used in general.

No Sterno Fuel + Sale Price = Good Deal

I bought two of these at a Macy's one-day sale for $28 each. I like them. They keep food warm for entertaining, don't require the purchase and use of sterno fuel and they look nice. I agree with another reviewer comment that said the stainless is very thin, however, any other option at even twice the price (such as a slow cooker) won't look as good as these do. Chafing dishes built for heavier duty generally cost a lot more. Be sure and read the directions carefully. Unlike traditional sterno-fueled chafing dishes, water does not go in the base of this unit. For residential entertaining, these are a good deal!
