Makes Meal Preparation Easier

This simple metal ring allows me to steam w/my bamboo steamers and cook in my wok at the same time. This is a huge deal. Little things can make all the difference in the world when you're trying to get a meal together. I would recommend this to everyone, love the way it frees me up and makes preparing a meal so much easier. The whole dinner is hot/ready at the same time! I love this product. I looked all over for the ring, including Chinatown in Chicago, I couldn't find it anywhere until I saw it on Amazon with the bamboo baskets. The shopowner was a pleasure to deal with as well. I'm going to try and steam stuff I never thought about trying before now too, like buns and a whole fish. I just love how this has made my dinner preparations so much easier.

Adapter means a metal ring, does not mean a pot with a metal ring

Cons: I thought I was getting a pot with a metal ring on its top edge so a bamboo steamer can sit on it. I was wrong! I got a 3 piece bamboo steamenr and a metal ring. The metal ring is approximately 2 1/4" wide, outer diameter of 111/2", inner hole diameter of 7". The inner metal ring is flat 11/2" then flares upward; it is a different item from the ad pictures. I am a bit dissapointed that I got deceived into buying.Pros: Bamboo steamer quality seems good.**Using other boiling pot and the metal ring provided, steaming will not be compromised. I am keeping them***

Great Steamer!

I really enjoyed using this steamer. The adapter was really useful, as it can be used with almost any pot. The bamboo steamers themselves are great quality. The size is perfect for doing big batches of food. It worked really well, and I'm looking forward to using it more often!
